Whose definition of success are you aspiring to...? Externally-imposed ideals about what it means to be successful may make us feel inadequate when we don't "measure up." I long ago let go of other people's ideals and created my own definition of success. This and focusing on what brings feelings of fulfillment in my life make me feel EMPOWERED and FREE!
I also redefined what it means to live with a sense of BALANCE - I released the unrealistic expectation that all areas of my life are "in balance" all the time. I started feeling a greater sense of balance when I:
-Redefined my relationship with time and “time management”
-Made my own wellbeing a priority
-Started investing most of my energy into what and who is most important to me... which includes lots of time for fun and play!
My invitation to you is this: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! I had to learn this the hard way: Practicing self-care and self-love is *not* selfish; it’s actually very necessary in order for you to keep up with the pace of life and accomplish the vision for the life you are creating.
Without joy, play, fun, and guilt-free self-care, you will become exhausted and eventually you WILL burn out.
